Note: In the following tournament pricing structure there are 2 options for weekend play. The first is a $53.00 Green fee with no prize package attached. The second option labeled BEST VALUE is $58.00 with a $7.00 per player prize package. The value to you the tournament director is twofold. The net price for the green fee portion goes down to $51.00 and secondly the hassle of purchasing prizes is eliminated from your already hectic schedule. We can structure the prizes either in gift certificate form or you may purchase prizes directly from the pro shop and give them to the winners who then have the option to exchange if they choose to do so.

Note: Olds Golf Club has 72 power carts. If you require more the following rates apply.
The Olds Golf Club has 72 power carts in our fleet that can accommodate 144 golfers. If you require more power carts we can bring them in, however we need to know how many are required at least 2 weeks in advance so we can plan accordingly. The cost of renting these additional power carts is $55.00 per cart (price may change without notice). In this case the price per cart will be averaged out over the total number of all power carts used which will affect the package price accordingly. If you prefer that your participants arrange for their own power carts they must call the pro shop and reserve before the tournament date to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for choosing the Olds Central Highlands as your tournament destination. Our food and beverage staff is pleased to provide you with a list of meal options that you may choose from. If you wish to customize your meal we can arrange a meeting with our food and beverage manager in order to personally design a banquet that will fit your tournaments’ needs.

Important:
Many events have sponsors willing to provide alcohol and/or food for
Corporate customers golf tournaments. All alcohol must be purchased from the Olds Golf Club as per Alberta Liquor regulations. Any food or alcohol sponsorship must be communicated to the Olds Golf Club at time of booking. Please understand that we are a full service golf facility and may not permit outside food/alcohol sponsors.

Tournament Services Available
1) Many events choose to have proximity hole prizes during their tournament (longest drive, closest to the pin etc.). We can provide these proximity markers free of charge. We will put them out as well as pick them up immediately after your tournament. If you are planning on using this service we request that you provide us with a list 3 days prior to your event.
2) The professional staff can do your scoring for your event for a charge of $1.00 per participant. If you select this service we require that you provide us with the format (i.e.: stableford, texas scramble, etc.) at least 1 week before your event. If your event is to be handicapped we will need a complete list of everyone’s handicap 1-week prior.
3) If you are in need of prizes for your tournament we have a fully stocked pro shop that will offer you many prize ideas. Gift certificates are the easiest way to satisfy all your participants and help cut down the amount of presentation time required for the tournament committee. These may be purchased from the proton at any time. All gift certificates will be valid until the end of the golf season.
4) We have rental equipment available to all golfers who require it. We ask that you get a list of all players who will need to rent golf equipment and fax it to the golf shop 1 week prior to your event.
5) We offer full service banquet facilities that cater to your group. We offer a wide variety of menu options for groups of all sizes. Meal choices and prices are available on the last page of this package.
6) The golf course has a beverage cart available to serve your group on the course.
7) We have two different areas to accommodate your group depending on the number of people in your group. Our private sunroom or tournament house can hold up to 60 people. For larger groups we have an enclosed tournament tent that can seat over 200 people. These facilities feature a fully stocked bar and dining room allowing you a private and comfortable setting upon completion of your day on the golf course.
Rules and Regulations
General Information
1) Neither the Olds Central Highlands Golf Club, nor any of its employees or officers are responsible for loss, or damage to any property of a member or visitor to the club.
2) Neither the Olds Central Highlands Golf Club, nor any of its employees or officers is responsible for any personal injury suffered to a member or visitor to the club while on the Olds Central Highlands Golf Club property.
Attire
1) Appropriate golf attire is required.
2) Shirts must be worn at all times
3) Men’s shirts must have sleeves
4) Ladies shirts may be sleeveless however halter-tops and strapless tops are not permitted.
5) Short shorts and cut off are not permitted.
6) Gym wear and beach wear are not permitted
7) Neat and tidy jeans are acceptable but not recommended.
Footwear
1) The Olds Central Highlands is a SOFT SPIKE ONLY FACILITY. The Board of Directors has banned metal spikes. Golfers with metal spikes will be required to have their spikes changed or change into appropriate footwear.
2) Cowboy boots, work boots and soccer/baseball cleats are not acceptable footwear.
3) Running shoes are permitted.
Power Cart Policy
1) Power Carts must follow a 90-degree rule. This means that they are to remain on the cart path until you are 90 degrees from your golf ball and at this time the power cart may proceed on to the fairway to play your shot. After hitting you must proceed back to the cart path and follow the same 90-degree format to the next ball.
2) If conditions are deemed to be to wet to allow power carts on the course then the Board of Directors has approved the following policy.
a) Green Power Carts usage is unrestricted.
b) Yellow Power Cart usage is restricted to those with handicap stickers
c) Red Power Cart usage is unavailable to anyone.
Course Marshals
Golf course marshals are needed to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience at the Olds Central Highlands as well as protecting the golf course from abuse. Playing time should not exceed 2 hours and 10 minutes for nine holes and 4 hours and 30 minutes for 18 holes. Our course marshal is entrusted by the club to keep all players on this pace of play. The course marshal has the power to enforce all regulations set out by the club under the following policy;
a) Verbally warn the player or group of the infraction
b) Verbally warn the player or group the second time.
c) Third time the group or player may be removed from the property under direction from the golf course management.
Tournament Director Responsibilities
1) The exact number of participants for the outing must be reported to Head Professional Wade Bearchell 7 days prior to the event. We understand that different situations arise without notice and may prevent someone from making it at the last minute so we are flexible up to 4 golfers less than what was agreed upon 1-week prior. If this number exceeds 4 golfers you will be required to pay for these no shows.
2) The tournament director is responsible for ensuring that all participants show up. We have found that the best way to ensure attendance is to have your participants pay prior to the tournament date.
3) Any member of the Olds Central Highlands Golf Club participating in an outside event is required to pay the appropriate fee for that event.
4) A valid driver’s license is required for the operator of all power carts.
5) The tournament director is required to be at the club one hour before the commencement of the tournament.
General Rules
1) All players must register with the pro shop staff before teeing off.
2) All players must start on Hole #1 unless otherwise authorized by the pro shop.
3) No more than 4 golfers in a group
4) All players must have their own set of equipment.
5) Non players are permitted on the course with pro shop approval.
6) No pets are allowed on the golf course or in the clubhouse.
7) Alcoholic beverages are to be consumed in designated areas only.
8) No outside alcoholic beverages can be brought onto golf course premises. Any beverage coolers may be inspected by golf course staff to insure that this regulation is being followed. Any breach of this policy may result in expulsion from the facility.
