Club Policies

Your enjoyment is our top priority, and our club policies are the key to unlocking a harmonious and delightful golfing experience. From tee times to etiquette, familiarize yourself with these guidelines – they're designed to ensure your time on the course is nothing short of extraordinary.

Conduct

Join us in cultivating a culture of courtesy at Olds Golf Club. Whether engaging with fellow golfers or interacting with our staff, we believe in treating everyone with respect. Your commitment to mindful conduct ensures that our course remains a welcoming haven for all. No physical abuse, verbal abuse, or discrimination will be tolerated.

Dress Code

We encourage our members and guests to sport a neat, tidy, and respectable appearance. Please refrain from donning cut-offs, gym shorts, swimwear, and tank tops. We also request all guests refrain from clothing that displays profanity or other other distasteful messages, as we aim to create an atmosphere where every golfer feels confident, comfortable, and ready to swing in style.  Additionally, we are a soft spike-only facility, metal spikes are not permitted.

Arrival & Check-In

Ensure a smooth tee-off experience by arriving at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time. This gives you plenty of time to get your group checked in, grab some food & beverages, and make your way to the tee box to arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time. This punctuality not only keeps the course flowing but also respects the time of your fellow golfers. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the forfeiture of your tee time, so please be mindful of the clock.

Alcohol

Raise a glass to good times, but let's do it responsibly. To comply with AGLC regulations, we kindly remind our guests that only liquor purchased from our establishment may be consumed on the premises. Outside alcohol is not permitted to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all. Cheers to sharing the best moments with the drinks available right here.

Cancellations & No-Shows (Guests)

Flexibility is key, allowing golfers to adjust tee times up to 24 hours in advance for their convenience. However, to maintain fairness for all, a no-show fee may be applied if you miss your reserved time without prior cancellation. We appreciate accurate information regarding the number of party members during booking to ensure optimal course utilization.

Cancellations & No-Shows (Members)

Membership at Olds Golf Club comes with special considerations, and we appreciate members adhering to our tee time policies. Members accumulating multiple infractions, like no-shows or inaccurate party counts within 24 hours of tee time, could face limitations on the number of days they can book in advance. Clear communication helps us uphold the standards that enhance the golfing experience for our valued members.

Power Carts

To operate a power cart, drivers must be over 18 years old and possess a valid driver's licence. Golfers must present a credit card for rental, and individuals renting the cart are liable for any damages incurred during use. To enhance the golfing experience for everyone, we encourage individuals within the same party to share a cart. Additionally, we allow a maximum of 2 riders per cart, and we limit power carts to a maximum of two per group.

Group & Equipment Standards

To ensure an enjoyable pace for all golfers on our course, we kindly request groups to be limited to a maximum of 4 players. This helps maintain a smooth flow throughout the round, respecting everyone's time. Furthermore, we require each player to have their own set of clubs for an optimal golfing experience. For those without clubs, worry not – rentals are available at the pro shop.

Pace of Play

Navigate the fairways with a pace that ensures every swing is a delight. Stay in step with the group ahead, be prepared for your shots, and adhere to the time par as recommended on the scorecard. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable round for all golfers, we typically aim for a pace of play of 4 hours for 18 holes. These guidelines are the blueprint for a seamless round, where every golfer can relish the game without unnecessary delays.

Junior Golfers

Welcoming the next generation of golfers, our junior golfer policy prioritizes both fun and safety. To maintain a supportive environment, junior golfers under the age of 12 are required to play accompanied by an adult. Additionally, we require our junior golfers to have their own set of clubs (or rent from our pro shop), fostering a sense of independence and personalized comfort on the course.

Rain-Check Policy

If management deems the course unplayable on your scheduled day of play, you will not be charged. The Olds Golf Club reserves the right to limit golf cart access to cart paths only during inclement weather. A rain check may be issued for a future visit if staff deem the golf course unplayable for any reason including weather and lightning, however please note rain checks will be issued based on the number of holes you completed before the stoppage of play.
